Description
A simple dal recipe that goes well with boiled rice.Ingredients
Tuvar dal : 2 cups
Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
Asafoetida : ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
ghee : 1 tbsp
salt to taste
coriander leaves : 1 tbsp

Methods/steps
- 1. Pressure cook the tuvar dal in 3 cups of water till very soft. Remove from cooker, churn well so that it is properly mashed, and boil once again in another pan.
- 2. Add the asafoetida, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt and the ghee. Boil once again till it is well blended and aromatic.
- 3. Serve with hot, boiled rice and vegetables.
