Buttermilk Rusks

Description

Delicious crunchy rusks to enjoy with coffee and tea in the morning.

Ingredients

Makes
approximately 50 rusks
1 kg selfraising flour
1 t salt
1 C sugar
250 gr marge
1 500mls buttermilk
2 eggs
25 ml oil
1 C Oats
1 C bran
1 C sunflower seeds
Half C raisons
1 heaped t baking powder

Methods/steps

  1. Rub marge into dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs and oil.
  2. Bake 180 degrees C for approx 1 hour until knife comes out clean. Cool slighly, cut into rusk size and dry in low oven until crisp and crunchy
