Handi Paneer
Description
A delectable cottage cheese accompaniment in spicy masala.
Ingredients
Onions chopped : 3
grated ginger : 1 tsp
tomatoes chopped : 1
green chilly chopped : 2
beaten curd : ½ cup
turmeric powder : ½ tsp
chilli powder : ½ tsp
garam masala : ½ tsp
Paneer (cottage cheese) : 200 gm
salt and pepper to taste
cooking oil : 2 tbsp
water : ½ cup
Corriander leaves : 2 tbsp

garam masala : ½ tsp
Paneer (cottage cheese) : 200 gm

water : ½ cup
Corriander leaves : 2 tbsp
Methods/steps
- 1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions in it till light brown.
- 2. Reduce the flame and add the grated ginger for a minute.
- 3. Add the turmeric powder, chilly powder, and garam masala and mix well.
- 4. To this, add the chopped tomato, and chopped green chilly. Fry for two minutes.
- 5. Add ½ cup beaten curd to this mixture and stir well. Cook till the mixture turns dry.
- 6. Pour in ½ cup water, required salt, and let it boil. Add the cubed paneer to this along with the chopped coriander leaves and cook till the masala dries up. The paneer pieces should be coated with the masala.
- 7. Add 2 pinches of fresh ground pepper, and remove from fire.
- 8. Serve hot.
