Philly Cheese "Steaks"

  • 1-2 tablespoons soy vegan margarine
  • 1/2 small onion thinly sliced
  • 6 oz (or about 1 1/2 cups) veggie/soy crumbles
  • garlic powder
  • 4 slices veggie/soy mozzarella
  • 2 hoagie buns/sub rolls
  • vegan marinara sauce
Methods/steps
Cook the onion in the vegan margarine until
soft and translucent
Add the crumbles
and cook until heated through -
sprinkle with garlic powder (or minced
fresh garlic) to taste
Lower heat and spread mixture out in
pan - top with slices of vegan cheese
When
vegan cheese is melted, pile into 2 rolls and
top with warmed marinara sauce
Variation: You could also saute some
green pepper along with the onion
