7-Up Cake

A home-kitchen version of 7-up cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour (cake flour)
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 c. 7-Up soda
Method
Cream
the sugar and butter together; beat until light. Add eggs,
one at a time, and beat well after each egg.
Add flour; beat in flour and 7-Up.
Pour batter in a well-greased and floured tube pan or pan of your choice.
Bake at 325° for 1 1/4 hours.
