Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Genesis 18:8 (butter)
  • 1 c. Isaiah 7:15 (honey)
  • 2 Job 39:14 (eggs)
  • 2 c. 1 Samuel 28:24 (flour)
  • 2 tsp. 1 Kings 19:6 (baking powder)
  • 1 tsp. Exodus 30:23 (cinnamon)
  • 1/4 tsp. Luke 14:34 (salt)
  • 3/4 c. 2 Samuel 16:1 (raisins)
  • 1/2 c. Genesis 43:11 (chopped nuts)
  • Judges 5:25 (butter)

Method

  1. In a large bowl, soften and cream Genesis 18.

  2. Slowly beat in Isaiah.

  3. In small bowl, beat Job well and add to creamed mixture. Sift together 1 Samuel, 1 Kings, Exodus and Luke.

  4. Add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly.

  5. Fold in 2 Samuel and Genesis 43. Grease a 9-inch tube pan with Judges.

  6. Line with waxed paper; pour in batter.

  7. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.

  8. Lower oven temperature to 325° and bake 20 to 25 minutes longer until cake is golden brown and tests done.

  9. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes.

  10. Invert onto serving plate, remove waxed paper and cool completely.
