A home-kitchen version of blackberry cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. blackberries
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 pkg. white cake mix
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. black raspberry jello
- 1/2 c. blackberry juice
Method
Cook berries; strain.
Reserve 1/4 cup juice for icing.
Add water for right measure.
Combine all ingredients except eggs. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
Cool.
