Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. double acting baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. milk
Method
Blend dry ingredients to cream and mix thoroughly.
Add 1 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts), 1 cup chopped dates and 1/2 cup cherries.
