Christmas Applesauce Cake

A home-kitchen version of christmas applesauce cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 3 c. applesauce, unsweetened
- 4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. cherry preserves
- 1/2 c. pineapple preserves
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Method
Combine applesauce, soda and butter in saucepan; heat on low and let cool.
In large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and flour.
Combine with applesauce mixture.
Add preserves and nuts.
