Christmas Sugar Cookies

A home-kitchen version of christmas sugar cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Method
Cream margarine, sugar and egg in mixing bowl and beat for 3 minutes; blend in vanilla.
Stir in flour mixture to make a stiff dough; wrap in wax paper and chill for 3 hours.
Roll dough on a lightly floured board.
Cut into desired shapes.
Can sprinkle colored sugars on tops.
Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
