Fresh Peach Pie

A home-kitchen version of fresh peach pie, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. peach flavored jello
- 3 c. sliced peeled ripe peaches
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- whipped cream (optional)
Method
In a saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch and water until smooth.
Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly and thickened.
Remove from the heat; stir in jello until dissolved. Cool.
Arrange peaches in cooled, baked crust.
Pour filling over peaches.
Chill until set, about 2 hours.
Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
