A home-kitchen version of frosted banana cookies(great for using those last two bananas), written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 bananas, mashed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
Cream shortening.
Add sugar and blend.
Add egg, vanilla and bananas.
Sift flour, salt and soda.
Add to banana mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 8 minutes.
These cookies brown only on the edges.
