Grandma Steve'S Cornmeal Dinner Rolls

A home-kitchen version of grandma steve's cornmeal dinner rolls, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1/3 c. cornmeal (uncooked)
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast, softened in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 4 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Method
Cook the first 5 ingredients until thick; cool until lukewarm. Add the eggs, 2 teaspoons sugar and the softened yeast.
Mix well, then add the flour.
Knead well; place in greased bowl.
Let rise for 1 hour or more.
Punch down; roll out.
Cut with biscuit cutter.
Let rise until doubled in a greased pan.
Bake at 365° for 15 minutes.
