A home-kitchen version of hush puppies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising corn meal mix
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
Mix all together well and drop by small balls into hot oil. Fry only a few at a time, until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve hot.
