Lemon Pound Cake

A home-kitchen version of lemon pound cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. Crisco
- 6 eggs
- 2 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 c. sweet milk
Method
Mix dry ingredients together. Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flavoring. Add milk and flour alternately; mix well. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Do not open for 1 hour.
