Lunchbox Brownies

A home-kitchen version of lunchbox brownies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
Melt butter and shortening in large saucepan over low heat. Stir in cocoa.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir in chocolate mixture.
Add nuts and mix well.
Spread in well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Spread frosting while brownies are still warm.
