Mother'S Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. oats
- 1 c. nuts
Method
Cream shortening.
Gradually add sugars and cream well.
Beat in egg until fluffy.
Add water and vanilla.
