Oatmeal Cake

A home-kitchen version of oatmeal cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. oatmeal
- 1 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Boil water and add oatmeal.
Cream together the rest of the ingredients.
Add cooked oatmeal to this mixture.
Bake at 350° in a greased and floured pan.
