A home-kitchen version of oatmeal cookie, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. quick cooking oats
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients.
Add oatmeal and nuts.
Mix well. Bake in 350° oven for 10 minutes.
