Oatmeal Cookie Candy

A home-kitchen version of oatmeal cookie candy, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 3 c. oatmeal
Method
Boil together sugar, milk, butter and salt for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla.
Stir until smooth.
Add oatmeal and mix together.
Drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper.
