Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

A home-kitchen version of oatmeal raisin cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 pkg. instant Jell-O pudding mix (vanilla)
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. raisins
Method
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, sugars and pudding mix in a large mixer bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in oats and raisins. (Batter will be stiff.)
Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2-inches apart.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen.
