Prune Cake

A home-kitchen version of prune cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. Wesson oil
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 c. nuts
- 2 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. prunes
Method
Mix oil, sugar and eggs in bowl.
Blend well.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add
to oil mixture with buttermilk.
Add vanilla. Fold in nuts and prunes.
Bake 50 minutes at 350°.
