Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. broth from ham or water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 cloves

Method

  1. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a pan and add broth or water gradually, stirring constantly.

  2. Add remaining ingredients and cook, stirring occasionally, until raisins are plump and mixture is thick.

  3. Serve hot with ham.

  4. Makes 1 1/2 cups sauce.
