Schoolhouse Peanut Butter Cookies

A home-kitchen version of schoolhouse peanut butter cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. sweet milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Combine
sugars
and margarine.
Add peanut butter; mix thoroughly.
Add
eggs
and mix well.
Combine flour, soda and salt.
Add
alternately
with
milk, beginning with flour mixture. Add
vanilla
and mix well.
Drop a heaping teaspoonful for
each cookie

inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool
before removing from pan.
Do not put in container hot. Let cool.
Makes 18 to 24 cookies.
