A home-kitchen version of sheet cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
Mix sugar and flour.
In saucepan combine butter, cocoa and water.
Bring to a boil; pour over sugar and flour.
Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°.
