Soft Date Cookies

A home-kitchen version of soft date cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg dates cut up
- 2 tsp soda
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 c. flour
- salt
Method
Cream sugar and butter. Then add eggs, vanilla, salt and flour. Then the cooled dates, 1/2 c nuts may be added. The batter will be soft. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° 12 to 15 minutes.
