Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 to 3 ribs celery
  • 3 c. cooked macaroni
  • 1 small green pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 cans tomatoes (Mexican style)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • chili powder (Texas style)

Method

  1. Brown ground beef; drain well.

  2. Use 2 to 3 tablespoons beef fat to saute chopped onion, celery and green pepper.

  3. Add tomatoes; mash with potato masher.

  4. Add hamburger, macaroni and as much tomato sauce as needed.

  5. Also, add desired amount of salt, pepper and chili powder (and a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, if desired). Simmer at least 30 minutes.

  6. (You may need to add additional tomato sauce and/or water.)

  7. No beans!

  8. Enjoy!
