Cream Cheese Pineapple Salad

A home-kitchen version of cream cheese pineapple salad, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good cheese and pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 1 medium can crushed pineapple
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Knox unflavored gelatine
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 pt. whipping cream or 2 to 3 envelopes Dream Whip
Method
Heat pineapple and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Dissolve in cold water the gelatine.
Add to mixture.
Let cream cheese soften at room temperature, then add to pineapple mixture.
Let set until partially set.
Whip the cream and fold in.
Chill. Serve on lettuce leaf.
Top with cherry.
