A home-kitchen version of mrs. anthony's chocolate cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. hot coffee
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Cream shortening and sugar.
Put all dry things together and then make a hole in the center.
Add hot coffee, then your milk, vanilla and beaten eggs last.
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
