Applesauce Pecan Bread

A home-kitchen version of applesauce pecan bread, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned applesauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cup flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup mixed candied fruit, if desired
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Method
Beat eggs until foamy, stir in applesauce, sugar, oil and milk.
Gradually add
dry ingredients, stir in nuts and candied fruit.
Spread in greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan.
Sprinkle on top cinnamon, brown sugar and chopped pecans, press lightly with hand. Bake 350° for 1 hour.
Can sprinkle confectionary sugar to cover top last 1/2 hour if too brown.
